INTERNATIONAL CLIENTS
Our clients over the past 12 months have included the former majority shareholders of a major Brazilian Bank, Banco Noroeste S.A (now Banco Santander), for whom it acted in the recovery of the majority of the sum of US$190 million stolen from the bank; Halliburton, on whose behalf the firm succeeded in reversing tax assessments in litigation before the Federal High Court in Lagos; KPMG, Société Générale de Surveillance; and local affiliates and subsidiaries of the Exxon Mobil Group, Shell and the Total Group.

Taxation:
The firmhas represented a number of international companies operating in the petroleum and other sectors in relation to taxation disputes with the Federal Inland Revenue Service.
Corporate Advisory Services:
The firm has advised numerous non Nigerian concerns about investment in Nigeria, corporate start-ups, due diligence in relation to Nigerian business associates and, increasingly, on money laundering and other regulatory matters.
Commercial Litigation:
Commercial litigation remains one of the great strengths of the firm, and it continues to act for several international companies in relation to litigation and arbitration in Nigeria.
Natural Resources Law:
The firm advises clients on projects and ventures in the exploitation of petroleum and other natural resources in Nigeria, including advising on the structuring of corporate vehicles through which activity may be conducted in Nigeria

English is the official language of Nigeria; however, a number of members of the firm are proficient in French.
