Gabriel Nkadi Osakwe  is an Honours Graduate of the University of Lagos. He was admitted to the Nigeria Bar 1972.
 
Chief Osakwe joined the Law Firm of M. A. Agbamuche & Co. in Lagos from 1972 to 1973. In 1974, he joined Onyeabo Obi & Co. briefly before joining the Mandilas Group Limited as a Legal Assistant from 1974 to 1979.
 
Osakwe moved up to the position of Legal Adviser at Mandilas Group Limited in 1979. He served in this position until 1988. He was the  Principal Partner at G N O Osakwe & Co. from 1988 to 1989, before the merge of G N O Osakwe & Co. with the firm in 1989. He is the Managing and founding Partner of the firm.
